By the end of this course, the registrants will be able to:
- Have confidence in reading normal mammograms by recognizing the four basic building blocks through correlating their subgross (3D) histopathology images with the mammographic presentation.
- Be familiar with the typical mammographic tumor features (imaging biomarkers) of the different breast cancer subtypes according to their site of origin.
- Appreciate the most frequent locations of breast cancer on the mammogram.
- Practice an efficient and effective technique for reading mammograms.
- Understand the value and need for the multimodality approach to screening for breast cancer and working up suspicious mammographic findings.
